This entry is part 34 of 60 in the series House of Fire & Blood

This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors currently on strike, the TV series being covered here wouldn’t exist.

What if George R. R. Martin’s Fire and Blood was written more like HBO’s House of the Dragon? Caroline and Gretchen analyze Martin’s work from this perspective and search for hidden stories in the text.

This week Gretchen and Caroline are joined by NEW FRIEND Frankie to discuss race and racism in the A Song of Ice and Fire universe, covering the books, House of the Dragon, and Fire & Blood up until the end of Jaehaerys’s reign. You know, just a nice light topic.
