House of Fire & Blood – Episode 16 “We Have a Friend!”

This entry is part 16 of 60 in the series House of Fire & Blood

This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors currently on strike, the TV series being covered here wouldn’t exist.

What if George R. R. Martin’s Fire and Blood was written more like HBO’s House of the Dragon? Caroline and Gretchen analyze Martin’s work from this perspective and search for hidden stories in the text.

This week Caroline and Gretchen are joined by Musa <3 to continue their analysis of Fire & Blood with the eight chapter, A Time of Testing Part 1. Jaehaerys comes back to King’s Landing with a full Google Calendar and multiple meetings that could have been emails. Rogar Baratheon is so bad at treason that he’s forgiven, and former Queen Regent Alyssa cries and DEFINITELY retires this time!!!
