With an exciting lineup of programming for, by, and about LGBTQI+ women and non-binary people, the SVOD/TVOD DIVABoxOffice.tv streaming channel premieres Dec. 1 on major platforms, including iTunes, Google Play, Roku, and Amazon firestick.

DIVABoxOffice.tv is a joint venture betweenU.K.-based DIVA Media Group (DMG), U.S.-based A Baker Production and Christin Baker—who founded Tello Films in 2009, the world’s first streaming network dedicated to lesbian/queer women—who will serve as president and CEO. Baker is also the writer/director behind such Emmy-nominated queer series as Secs and EXECS and Riley Parra and such critically acclaimed queer films as Christmas at the RanchI Hate New Years, and Season of Love.

DMG is the world’s leading entertainment group for LGBTQI+ women and non-binary people. In addition to  publishing its flagship publication DIVA magazine—the longest running print magazine in the world for women loving women—DMG is also the force behind podDIVA, hosted by Rachel Shelley of The L Word; the groundbreaking Lesbian Visibility Week (April 24-30); DIVA AwardsPride Power List; and Rainbow Honours.  First published in 1994, DIVA magazine brings the world the latest in lesbian and bi-related celebrity interviews, news, politics, pop culture, style, travel, social issues, entertainment and more. DIVA tackles the tough topics, like racism in the LGBTQI community, mental health and the challenges facing queer youth and profiles inspirational women who are making a difference to the lives of lesbian, bi and trans women.

DIVABoxOffice.tv will launch with the premieres of the Christmas film Merry & Gay, starring Dia Frampton (I Hate New Years; runner up in the inaugural season of The Voice and lead singer of the band Meg & Dia) and Andi René Christensen (Bel-Air, Hacks), the first non-binary actor to be the lead in a holiday romcom; the limited horror series Scare B&B (6 episodes in first quarter); and a library of more than 100 contemporary LGBTQI+ feature films, shorts, and other programming.

Production plans call for DIVABoxOffice.tv to produce four original films or series a year, as well as aggressively acquire original programming from other queer filmmakers.

According to an analysis of data in the Census Bureau’s recent Household Pulse Survey, 8% of respondents—or approx. 20 million people in the U.S. alone—identify as gay, bi-sexual or transgender, suggesting previous surveys undercounted the population. Globally, according to a study done by LGBT Capital financial group in 2019, the LGBTQI+ community commands an estimated $3.7 trillion in spending power.

Says Christin Baker, president & CEO of DIVABoxOffice.tv, “The demand for queer programming is only growing with each generation becoming increasingly more fluid in their sexual orientations and gender identities than ever before. As the old adage goes, we are queer and we’re here to stay. We are thrilled to elevate this thriving community by offering quality, original movies, series, and other relevant programming with the launch of DIVABoxOffice.tv.”

Adds Linda Riley, publisher of DMG, “Our mission is to uplift, entertain and inform as we expand our global reach with the premiere of DIVABoxOffice.tv. We are excited to partner with A Baker Production to continue to bring the best in queer entertainment to the lesbian, bisexual and trans community with content produced in the U.S.”

The Ultimate TTRPG Tarot Offers Up Much More Than Collectible Novelty

The Ultimate TTRPG Tarot is based on the classic Rider-Waite Tarot deck, and doesn't do much to alter the overall style of the deck. Instead, Zachary Bacus and colorist Hank Jones replaced the classical esoteric imagery with things straight out of a D&D game. For instance High Priestess has become a Mindflayer, albeit a nerdy one with glasses and a DMG. The art also reflects the overall humor of the cards, which is stuffed to the gills with references and in-jokes straight out of a TTRPG convention. It's sort of like if you mixed a tarot deck up with a game of Munchkin. That writing comes from Jef Aldrich and Jon Taylor, hosts of the System Mastery podcast, who bring their pretty wide experience in tabletop to bear in this deck.
