Today, Dropout.tv announced the next D&D show to debut under their hit Dimension 20 banner. Entitled The Ravening War, the campaign will bring together an all-star group of players in an adventure led by none other than Critical Role’s Matt Mercer. Check out the new trailer now:
The Ravening War is a dark, twisty prequel to the hugely popular Dimension 20: A Crown of Candy (trailer here) – based on the creative premise of a “Game of Thrones meets Candyland” world. This comes a year after Dimension 20‘s Brennan Lee Mulligan hosted the prequel event miniseries, Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, on Critical Role last summer. Now, their roles flipped – Critical Role’s Mercer is hosting the prequel event miniseries for Dimension 20, and Mulligan joins the series as a player at the table.
Dimension 20: The Ravening War is set to be an all-star series for the D&D community where Game Master Matt Mercer, is joined by Brennan Lee Mulligan (Dimension 20, Worlds Beyond Number), Lou Wilson (Dimension 20, Worlds Beyond Number), Zac Oyama (Dimension 20, Not Another D&D Podcast), Aabria Iyengar (Dimension 20, Worlds Beyond Number), and Anjali Bhimani (Overwatch, Ms. Marvel). Matt has previously appeared as a guest on Dimension 20, but this is first time leading a campaign for the show. Aabria was the DM for the first two series of Exandria Unlimited and is a recurring character in the current Critical Role campaign Hell’s Bells. Wilson and Oyama were players in A Crown of Candy as well, where Mulligan served as GM.
