The Season 6 Carol Awards: Voting is open!!

UPDATE: Voting has now ended. Below are the details about the award show.

That’s right folks, everyone’s favorite ceremony is back: The Carol Awards! (This year, in memoriam: Carol Lannister, who was cruelly written off the show with her personality flip to Cheryl Lannister, mass murderer, first of her name.)

For those who are unaware, last year fellow Fandomentals editor Julia and I hosted an award show on our blogs (with contributions from the “ranters and ravers” of the westeros.org forums), where we honored and celebrated the 5th season of Game of Thrones and all its totally-deserved praise.

Past winners include “You want the good girl, but you need the bad pussy” for the Why Can’t I Stop Laughing? Category, the Hall of Faces for Best Use of Resources, and Karsi even picked up two Golden Carols for her refusal to murder children: Best Scene Featuring an Original Character and Most Empowering Moment!

Well the 2016 Golden Carols are polished and ready to go, and boy do we have some fierce competition. Who had the most stylish plot-armor? Which Missandei/Grey Worm/Tyrion conversation was the most crackling? What was the best fan-service? We’re quite spoiled for choice this year. Heck, there were enough child-deaths for it to get its own category!

Voting has now closed. You may click here for a copy of the official ballot. The winners will be announced Wednesday, July 20th!!! Let’s make our favorite soccer mom proud. For Carol!!!
