I ran into Hit Point Press At GenCon to learn about some of the cool stuff they’re doing with D&D, and they let me check out the newest releases in their “Deck of Many” line of accessories. While previous iterations have featured beautiful artwork on their own, the new decks feature lenticular animation (that means they got them shiny holograms on them) done by some truly talented animators (including the artist who did the Critical Role intro). The new decks came about after a very successful Kickstarter, and are tarot-sized and fully water (and Mt.Dew) proof. Here’s an in-depth look at their take on the iconic Deck of Many Things artifact, as well as the first spell deck in the line that focuses on the 0-Level Cantrips.
You can currently pre-order these decks, and spell decks up to level 5, on their shop for full release in October. Individual animated decks will run you about $30, but you can also drop $199 and get all TEN decks, or save some dinero and pick them up in PDF for $24.99.
