Individual should be able to work in a group setting and be comfortable in collaborative endeavors. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with pitching ideas to an editor, is diligent with carrying out necessary research and writing, and capable of providing a quick turnaround time for weekly comic book releases or longer feature articles. Any necessary review copy will be provided.
Required:
– Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
– Be able to work remotely from a laptop or desktop via WIFI or other internet access.
– Willing to utilize social media for Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook.
By the end of this internship, individual will have gained the following knowledge/skill sets:
- Professional media review and critique
- Basic editing
- WordPress CMS
- Image naming, image rights
- SEO Best Practices
- Ability to query for and conduct interviews
- Social media presentation and etiquette
- Time management
- Standard pitch writing
