Wonder Woman Drops Second Trailer

The second Wonder Woman trailer just dropped, and to be honest, this one blows me away in comparison to the first trailer. While the first one did seem a bit campy and muted, the second brings all of the action its predecessor was missing. It’s like slowly turning up the volume on an amazing song- at least, one can hope.

We seem to get Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) looking back on her origin story, judging by the photo that was originally featured in Batman v. Superman. While we already knew it was an origin story, I am also interested in what present-day scenes they will include as well, if any. It might just be an already weathered photo taken in the same decade.

The Themyscira scenes continued to look amazing, and Diana’s discovery of modern day weaponry connected with her fight scenes specifically hooked me. What we also see is the ferocity of her fellow Amazons, giving us a preview of her fighting style. Her decision to go with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) releases her and simultaneously stifles her, considering she is only a secretary in World War I America.

Overall, I’m excited for what is to come. Even the music is kick-ass. Please, please, please let this be good. The DC cinematic universe desperately needs a boost. Watch the trailer in its entirety below and sound off on your thoughts! Are you as excited as we are?

Wonder Woman opens in theatres June 9th, 2017.
