Free League Publishing and Two Little Mice have launched the Twilight Sword Roleplaying Game on Backerkit Crowdfunding. Inspired by video game classics like Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, and the worlds of Studio Ghibli and Dragon Quest, Twilight Sword invites players to RISE! and become Champions that restore hope to the land of Radia.
The Twilight Sword RPG is a “heartfelt love letter” to video game classics with artwork and game design all made entirely by humans. Twilight Sword is said to offers a “complete, standalone experience for fans of slice-of-life heroic fantasy” combined with “enchanting and whimsical” exploration mechanics.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Twilight Sword to life,” said Riccardo “Rico” Sirignano, co-founder of Two Little Mice. “This game is a passion project that combines our love for classic video games and the limitless possibilities of tabletop roleplaying. We can’t wait for players to embark on their own unforgettable journeys in Radia.”
The Twilight Sword campaign features a suite of beautifully designed books and accessories that bring the world of Radia to life:
- Core Rulebook: Everything you need to create your Champion, including five Kin, six Ways, a rich selection of Feats and Equipment, and the complete rules of the game.
- Lands of Radia: A comprehensive guide for Game Masters, filled with monsters, legendary weapons, hidden lore, and ready-to-play adventures.
- Starter Set: A compact box (11x11x11 cm) containing everything needed to begin playing, including a rule booklet, an introductory mini-campaign, dice, pre-made Champions, and tokens.
Card Chest: A treasure box (11x11x11 cm) packed with more than 200 cards featuring monsters, bosses, weapons, and map tiles to enhance every adventure.
