If you’re a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, then buckle up. Aaron Ehasz is partnering with director Justin Richmond (Uncharted) to bring The Dragon Prince, a new animated series, to Netflix.  According to Netflix’s @seewhatsnext twitter account, the plot of The Dragon Prince centers around “two human princes who forge an unlikely bond with the elfin assassin sent to kill them, embarking on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.”

Deadline reports that the series will make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con on July 21 where Ehasz, Richmond, and the show’s executive producer, Giancarlo Volpe (also from ATLA) are set to offer attendees a sneak peek. The show will premiere on Netflix this September.

Prior to The Dragon Prince’s debut, Matt Groening’s (Futurama) new animated series, Disenchantment, will premiere in August, and will also be represented at SDCC. You can see a teaser trailer below.
