Penny Arcade’s Live Play ‘Acquisitions Incorporated’ Announces Series Two

No, it’s still not a joke. Acquisitions Incorporated, the popular D&D live-play series founded in 2008 by Penny Arcade, just unveiled its Series 2 starring Jeremy Crawford, Lead Rules Designer of Dungeons and Dragons, and Series 1’s Chris Perkins, senior story designer of Dungeons and Dragons, behind the DM screen. The series with tens of millions of loyal fans is aimed to launch its anticipated revival this September 2023, just in time to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

Acquisitions Incorporated stage

Acquisitions Incorporated is the tabletop live-play pioneer, preceding other household names including Critical Role and Dimension20. Originally hosted on YouTube, the once humble podcast has since expanded into a beloved franchise including recurring on-stage broadcast sessions at PAX (originally known as Penny Arcade Expos), acclaimed board games, as well as an official D&D Sourcebook published in 2019.

Acquisitions Incorporated: The Series 2 will star:

  • Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade and Acquisitions Inc.
  • Mike Krahulik, co-founder of Penny Arcade and Acquisitions Inc.
  • Jasmine Bhullar, Streamer and veteran of TTRPG live plays including Critical Role, Dimension20, and Penny Arcade’s Court of Cups
  • Anna Prosser, Producer, performing artist and mainstay in TTRPG actual plays including Acquisitions Incorporated and Dice Camera Action

“The only problem with tabletop gaming, other than rolling critical fails at the worst possible moment, is that we can’t fit everybody we want around the table, but Acquisitions Incorporated is the closest we’ve ever gotten,” said Penny Arcade’s Jerry Holkins. “The Series 2 Kickstarter DOES, however, allow everybody to give us their money…to make the show even bigger and better, of course.”

The dice-rolling misadventures of Penny Arcade’s Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, and friends, will soon be trying for a nat-20 with Kickstarter, launching March 8, 2023, to help fund the highly-anticipated Acquisitions Incorporated: The Series 2.This opportunity will give fans and the tabletop gaming community a chance to contribute to the industry-leading legacy. All proceeds will contribute to a bigger and more elaborate production, and of course reward their valued supporters.

Acquisitions Incorporated: The Series 2 will kick off this September 2023. For further information, please visit Penny Arcade’s official website or follow Penny Arcade on TwitterFacebook, or Instagram, and keep up to date with the Kickstarter campaign launching on March 8, 2023 here!
