Kickstarter Hopes To Take Whiskey Glasses To New Heights

A new Kickstarter from whiskey accessories company Liiton hopes to add a topographical flair to your drinks cabinet. Launched earlier this week, the Peaks Whiskey Glass Kickstarter is Liiton’s follow up to their successful Everest-themed set of glasses. It adds four new destinations to add to your collection: Mont Blanc, Denali, K2 and Fuji.

Whiskey fans have clearly been enthusiastic about the news. Not only has The Peaks Whiskey Glass beat its Kickstarter goal in less than 24 hours, it surpassed the same-day goal set by its predecessor, the Everest Whiskey Glass. Liiton also makes a Grand Canyon-themed set of glasses.

“You spoke and we listened,” says Liiton founder Peng Lin. “During our Everest campaign, you asked for more mountains and so we’re delivering four peaks in this collection. We couldn’t be more pleased to bring whiskey fans the glasses they have been clamouring for.”

“If you thought our Everest project was ambitious, we went to new heights to design four new, true-to-scale replicas of the these four iconic mountains.” says Lin of the collection.

The glasses are all made from crystal and weigh just under a pound. The shape of the glass, according to the company, helps distribute temperatures and lead to rapid chilling the company has made a key part of their marketing. The levels of the peaks can be used to measure as well, with different “elevations” corresponding to single, double, or triple pours.
