Crunchyroll has partnered with professional wrestler Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) to launch a limited-edition merchandise collection, mixing her love for anime with the “energy” of pro wrestling.
The collection is available for purchase today exclusively through the Crunchyroll Store and for purchase live in-person at Starrcast Texas. The product line will also be available at Crunchyroll Anime FanFest at the Rady Shell at San Diego Comic Con on July 25 and July 26. A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to Step Up, the mentorship nonprofit that guides girls to their success. The collection will be available for sale in the United States, Canada, and Europe later this month.
“This collection represents how I envision myself as an anime hero, and I’m excited for fans to see not only that, but how much anime influences my everyday life,” said Moné. “I remember being four or five years old, staying up late and not really having a concept of time besides knowing that Sailor Moon aired at sunrise. Anime has helped me find my inner superpower.”
