She-Ra Season 2 Trailer Highlights Princesses in Action

We only need to wait another month! The first season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was a Fandomentals darling last year due to its unabashed optimism, happy embrace of its cheesiest elements, girl-powered cast and themes, and strong characters. We very much worship to the Netflix Holy Trinity of animated shows, even if we like She-Ra and Carmen Sandiego quite a bit more than The Dragon Prince. We’ve been anxiously awaiting the second season. Crank the hype-train into overdrive, because we have a trailer! One full of princesses getting their battle on.

Nothing here qualifies as a surprise. Adora will come into season 2 with a stronger control of her powers as She-Ra, and she’ll have all the princesses she inspired in season 1 at her side. Glimmer and Bow will of course stand most prominently and commonly at her side. Catra will continue to climb the Horde’s ranks with conflicted feelings and she will fight Adora from time to time. Scorpia will be adorable, though apparently she will get her fight on.

Look, there’s nothing unexpected her, but is it just me or does most of this trailer, especially the action sequences, look like it mostly comes from one episode? There’s also a very promising portion of the trailer suggesting Catra may do or fail something to incur Hordak’s wrath. I mean, that doesn’t look like a princess thing Catra runs from towards the end.

I’m sure She-Ra has a surprise or two up its sleeves. Well, if anyone wore sleeves they would.

We couldn’t be more excited for more of this delightful show. Many of us will be there day one when season 2 hits Netflix on April 26. Hopefully you’ll join us, because this world needs more She-Ra in its life. Or maybe just more princesses. Why not both?
