There’s not much new here. We do get a new shot of Luke in the Millenium Falcon (OUCH). Finn has a new scream while fighting Phasma. I suppose some of the space battle shots might be new. Otherwise, this just-short-of-a-minute teaser replays scenes already seen in The Last Jedi’s epic second trailer from last month.
Oh, and an ending shot obviously meant to trick you into thinking Rey’s about to take Luke’s head off. How freaking cool is this movie going to be???
I honestly don’t know how the Star Wars franchise manages to do this every single time. The Force Awakens certainly did a lot to buy back fandom confidence in the franchise, but even the prequels never really failed to hype me up with its trailers. And this one just looks so good. Combined with the talk of a darker story (of which not everyone is sure will be a good thing) and I find myself so anxious to find out what’s going to happen. I needed this movie yesterday.
And it was Luke. In the Millenium Falcon. He was on the ship. How can anyone not be hyped to see this?
The Last Jedi will begin making Disney millions starting December 15th.
