Film distributor A24 has entered the world of musicals in an upcoming film being produced with Chernin Entertainment (The Greatest Showman). Titled F*cking Identical Twins, the film features an all-star cast and direction by Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat).

Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp write and star in F*cking Identical Twins

Described as a “subversive spin on the Parent Trap,” F*cking Identical Twins follows two business adversaries who realize they’re identical twin brothers and decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again. It’s based on a two man show produced by Aaron Jackson, Josh Sharp, and Karl Saint Lucy for UBC in 2014. The three return to handle the music for the movie, with Jackson and Sharp also starring and handling writing duties.

In addition to Jackson and Sharp, the film has assembled an all-star cast including Tony Winner Nathan Lane (Disappointment Blvd, Only Murders in the Building, The Gilded Age), Emmy Winner Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Party Down), Emmy-nominated Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live, Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens) and multiple Grammy-Award winning musician Megan Thee Stallion. Grammy Award-winning producer Marius de Vries (La La Land, Moulin Rouge, Coda) has boarded the project as Executive Music Producer. Fiora Cutler will serve as film’s music supervisor overseeing cast musical direction with de Vries.
